The Fragmented Man
this painting was inspired by Pablo Picasso as he introduced the theme of cubism and the idea of broken up shapes and expressing colour within his paintings. This was made with acrylic paint and markers on an A3 WOODEN BOARD. This took me 2 hours to make.

the BLUE ASCENSION
I did this painting during the summer holidays just after I came back from going to the beach. The sea at the beach I went to gave me the thought of how under water animals would see themselves, this inspired me to create the painting of a whale swimming up from darkness to light. This was made on a 22.5cm x 30cm canvas with acrylic paints and took me 2 days to paint.

Much !
I entered this piece into house art where the theme was, "In The Style Of...". I decided to do a spray paint artist called Cope 2 as I have previously done some spray paint artworks but not any like Cope 2's. He uses many different numbers, letters, shapes and many different unique textures. I liked this as a theme as creating an abstract form of spray paint was a new challenge I have never done before. If I did tis piece again I would try to make it look even more abstract with more characters and symbols. I did this on a Foam board WITH SPARY paint. This piece I did over the half term break before the house art competition and took me around a week to finish.

The Bottle of Blue
I like the idea of painting an empty plastic water bottle as it has lots of different bumps and grooves that make it a challenge to paint in watercolours as it can be difficult to define different details. I made this with watercolours on an A4 piece of watercolour paper. This took me around 45 minutes to paint.

The overtaking Corner
This piece was inspired by an artist called Werner Bronkhorst. I liked his style of art as he used very thick and large brush strokes to create a background and then he uses fine and thin paintbrushes to add miniature characters or items. The painting I did represents 2 corners at the Silverstone track (Brooklands and Luffield) as I very much like Formula 1. I did this with acrylic paint on a 30cm x 25cm canvas. I took me around a week to complete.

The resting Kingfisher
This is a painting of a kingfisher at rest on a tree branch. This piece took me 1 hour to paint as I was experimenting with blending different colours. I made this on an A4 piece of watercolour paper with watercolours.
