The Spider Crab
I made this piece during a full-day art workshop where we focused on crustaceans and intaglio print-making. I chose a spider crab as I liked the challenge I had to face with the minor details. If I did this again I would try to focus on rolling the printing press all the way to the edge of the paper so that all the ink would print. This was made on plastic acetate with black and red ink. This took me 1 day to make and print.

Frankenstein.
I chose to do Frankenstein's monster as I liked the detail and lines that were within its face. This was my first ever try at linocut and I found it very challenging at first but after a while I got more and more confident with using a lino cutter. I used a V-shaped knife for most of the cutting but I only used a U-shaped knife on the outline of his head as it was a very thick line. If I did this piece again I would particularly try to use a registration block more as the print are a bit off-centre like in prints 6,7 and 8 and I would try to roll the ink all over the lino so that there is no under-inked areas like in print 6 and 7. I did this with a block of lino and a vary of block printing inks. This took me 1 and a half weeks to make and print
